Well Hung wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring a
single run. Well Hung managed 8 hits in their victory.

Zambrano(0-2) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 3 runs and 7 hits in 7

At PNC Park, the Well Hung fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Derek
Lowe(1-0) finally bested his Vero Beach opposite, Hiroki Kuroda(1-1), by the
score of 4 to 0.
Lowe was in control of the game from the outset. He gave up just 6 hits and
no walks in 8 innings seeing his ERA drop from 7.50 to 3.21. Well Hung had
just 4 hits for the afternoon.
Lowe got relief help from Mariano Rivera who gained credit for his 1st save.
Kuroda was the loser. He pitched 7 innings and surrendered 3 hits and 3
walks.

plating a run in the 2nd inning, banged out a single in the 4th inning and
lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 3rd of the season) in
the 6th inning. Vero Beach had 14 hits overall, while Well Hung had 2.
